Clint Niosi

Clint Niosi is a Fort Worth, Texas–based songwriter, composer, and producer whose work often blurs the line between song and score, drawing on a distinctly cinematic and atmospheric sensibility. Known as “an agile fingerstyle guitarist” (I Love FTW), with a “great vocal tone and an original style” (D Magazine), Niosi’s music is grounded in a literary approach to songwriting, with lyrics that “often verge on poetry, as strong alone on the page as when performed with inflections and music added” (FW Weekly).

In the spring of 2025, Niosi released The Metamorphosis EP, a six-track EP adapted from his original score for Hip Pocket Theatre’s stage production of Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. Expanding the live material into a fully realized studio release, he delivered what he calls a “psychedelic baroque-noir.” “With his band fleshing out the material, The Metamorphosis EP captures the absurdity, tension, and existential horror of Kafka’s world—now reimagined as a wild, sonic journey,” wrote Jessica Waffles of KXT. The EP was supported by a Dallas release show in May 2025 at The Wild Detectives and was later added to Amplify 817 in the winter of 2025.

Niosi’s work has received continued regional and national attention, including multiple features on KXT and end-of-year recognition from Fort Worth Weekly, which cited The Metamorphosis EP, the single “Destroyer of Worlds,” and contributions to collaborative projects such as Stem Afternoon among the most notable local releases of 2025. Across projects, his music is frequently described as cinematic, evocative, and emotionally immersive, with an emphasis on mood, texture, and atmosphere over conventional song structures.

Alongside his work as a recording artist, Niosi operates Orange Otter Audio, his recording studio in Fort Worth, where he maintains an active parallel practice as a producer and recording engineer. His production credits include Darstar, Frosty, Prof. Fuzz 63, Broke String Burnett, and Chris Welch, bringing the same attention to tone, space, and atmosphere to work by other artists.

Niosi has released five full-length studio albums under his own name and is currently writing and recording material for his sixth, continuing to refine an approach to songwriting that emphasizes atmosphere, tension, and cinematic expression.
